NV0, also known as the NVidia Hardware Simulator was not really a GPU. It seems to have been a hardware "simulator", written as a series of VxD drivers (such as VNV0D
) under Windows 3.x, to emulate and test the design of the NV1 before it was ready (as this was before Nvidia had access to Ikos or any other serious simulation product), produced in about 1994. Not much is known about it, other than it existed, it had a very strange PCI ID of 0x32DB
and that it was in development around 21 June 1994.
