The '''SBus to VL Converter''' may have been Nvidia's first product released for sale, available by August 1995. It allowed the insertion of Sun Microsystems workstation SBus units into VESA Local Bus (a bus common on 486 and early Pentium PC motherboard machines. It was likely designed for internal development work on the [[NV1]] (since many early Nvidia employees were ex-Sun Microsystems employees) and may have been sold by phone order or via some other non-retail channel.
